The banking industry and its supervision is certainly not the same as it was in 1925, the year of foundation of the SBIF. Therefore this is a good opportunity to gather and review what has happened during this time and what challenges will banks and regulators face in the near future, both in Chile and in the world.
This two-day conference will be hosted by the Department of Management (map) of Universidad Diego Portales and sponsored by the Bank of Finland, aims to bring together academics, practitioners and policymakers sharing interests in banking stability and sustainability. It also provides a forum for presenting new research as well as discussing current and challenging issues on financial stability and related topics.
